One of the knights of the Round Table in the Arthurian Legend, Palamedes is most often referred to as the "Saracen Knight."

Chivalrous. Lively. Honorable. Dishonorable. Lovesick.
He's mostly known for his unrequited love towards Iseult and his battle against the Questing Beast.

It is mentioned that Palamedes has done great deeds himself, but this was overshadowed by Tristan's own.

The work of Edward Aleister Crowley about Palamedes would cause some changes on the Saracen Knight when summoned.

His memories frequently gets mixed by the influence of the Great Beast, Crowley himself. However, in most summons, Palamedes tries to retain more of his Arthurian identity than Crowley's (which is lurking within as another part of himself.)

As to why he can still use his Noble Phantasms from other sources, although a rank weaker in his Arthurian identity.

Class: Berserker
(The Questing Beast) /
(Mad Palamedes of The Equinox)
Alignment: Chaotic Evil

Taking advantage over the lovesick knight, it often appears when Palamedes is the most troubled, or hopelessly infatuated by the thoughts of Iseult, if not triggered by the mud of the Grail.

It's still possible to suppress it in earlier stages.

The Questing Beast.

" A wondrously large beast has the head and neck of a snake, the body of a leopard, the haunches of a lion, and the feet of a hart. Come from its mouth the sound of many gruesome deaths, and hundreds of vicious, barking hounds. "

In many stories, Palamedes was mainly tasked with the slaying of the beast. Although, after doing such, the spirit of the monster had been possessing him in several occasions.

Coincidentally, Crowley had about the same in his version of Palamedes, however more sinister.

Personal

- Blinded by Love EX
His pure love for Iseult greatly inspired his deeds, despite her rejection of him, and he continues to adore her, whether it causes his acts to be honorable or not. "He completely lost his heart to her; she pleased and attracted him so much that there was nothing in the world he would not have done to posssess her, even abandon his faith." (Curtis 45). This temporarily changes Palamedes into the Berserker Class.

- In recall of Iseult A++
In memory. The gaze that enables the knight Palamedes when he is honorable. It utterly destroys him when he is disgraced. The gaze of Iseult that has both positive and negative side effects.

- Beast Slayer A
Additional damage to beast-kind enemies. Palamedes was one of the knights that slayed the Questing Beast after converting to Christianism.

- Battle Continuation A
Dude. This guy just never gives up. Trust me.

- Divinity C
Crowley's version of Palamedes forges him into a savior divinely-chosen of the Arthurian Court.

Noble Phantasms

โ While Iโ€” though all the heralds cry my name! The Sword of Lament! โž

Anti-Unit. Rank EX (Crowley: Rank A). Drastically increases Palamedes' endurance and strength, focused on a single enemy.

โ Grace of Godlihead
Wake or sleep, or live or dead,
I will pursue this mystery. โž

Anti-Unit(Self). Rank B (Crowley: Rank A). Empowered by the blessings of God as he slays the Questing Beast.

โ Wild, sharp strain smites on the air... Hark! Come upon me, Glatisant! โž

Anti-Army. Rank A (Crowley: Rank EX). One of the tales of Palamedes as narrated by Aleister Crowley told of the knight of his imitation of the Questing Beast, which had completely cleared of his own army in previous verses. It shapeshifts Palamedes into the Beast that mocked and slain his fallen men.

โ By God's wounds.
By the Good Blood of the Lord. โž

Anti-Populace. Rank C (Crowley: Rank B). Crowley's influence of Palamedes is unique in itself, as the knight is displayed in such, a divinely-chosen savior, a problematic seeker of knowledge, where he also began to perform miracles round his journey before slaying the Questing Beast. This particular Noble Phantasm is more stable and stronger when performed in Egypt.

โ Kind King-Eagle, by God's Death! โž

Summoning. Rank C. (Crowley: Rank B) Palamedes can call upon a large eagle from the Fenlands, where the druids dwell, and mount it.
